The Newest Disney Dog!

Yes you read that right. It does say the newest Disney Dog! Despite my parents stern warning that they would not like this dog and would have nothing to do with him (which lasted 10 seconds) I did get another dog. He sort of fell into my lap and it all worked out really quickly! He is a brindle and white Minature Bull Terrier. He is adorably cute! And is so funny. So now for his name. It took much deliberation, his name changed at least 30 times before I finally settled on Mom's suggestion. His name is Gandalfs Didgeridoo calls for Adventures, or Toby Tyler. Now for those who don't think that is a Disney name, your wrong, and I have the picture down below to prove it. The movie is about a little boy who runs off to join the circus. Coming to my house is probably just as close to the circus and is definatly an adventure!

So far Tiki and Toby are best friends! They hit it off right away and have a blast playing with each other every day. Stitch likes him, but sometimes gets annoyed by his puppy antics. The three of them play ver well together, which is good since they will all show together and travel together. Lilo has done better with him than Tiki, but she hasn't got to play with him one on one yet. We are taking that bridge very slowly! Here are some pictures below, hope you enjoy them.

Geesh mom, how many pictures are you gonna take!

So Fiday Feb. 27th the Paisley Party Tour stopped here in Portland at the Rose Garden! I was lucky enough to be able to go thanks to a friend who had a last minute ticket! (Thanks Jackie for texting me, and thank you Brad's work for sending him to Pullman!) I met up with my friends and and we headed to our seats not knowing what we would find. What we found was that we were on the side of the stage only about 10 rows up. We could see everything super well including some of the back stage! And of course I forgot my camera. But hey, the cell phone did a pretty decent job! So I hope you enjoy the photos and the short video's. The cell phone can only take 30 seconds of video, and it is a little scratchy from all the bacground noice of the other fans there. If you get a chance to go the show I would highly reccomend it! All three preformers were awesome! And I wish I could play the guitar like that!

The Bike does it again!

So just an update on using the bicycle for walking/running the dogs. Tiki loves it, but I can only do it every few days with him until he gets bigger. But today was a gorgeous day and I really wanted to go out and enjoy it. So I decided to ride my bike anyway.

But I felt bad for Lilo, who was just sitting in the house while Tiki and Stitch were outside playing. So I decided I would try taking her for a run. I put a gentle leader on her and took her out on the bike. I was a little worried she would take off after everything we passed, but she didn't! She walked right to the side of me and even ran for a little while. We were out for about 35 to 40 minutes and she did great. It was so fun!

So now I have a fun way to exercise 2 out of the 3 dogs! I am not sure if I will try doing it with Stitch. He really does prefer to just lay on the couch. But who knows, I might try it Monday! And who knows, if I get two WalkyDogs, maybe I can even take Lilo and Tiki out at the same time! Errrr...maybe!

For the love of bicycling!

So over the past few weeks I have been trying to find a way that I could exercise Tiki. He loves to go for walks, but he always wants to go for longer and faster than I have the time or energy for. So then I thought I would try to teach him how to walk on my treadmill. That didn't go over well. The noise scared him and he wouldn't go any where near it. So then the idea came to me that I should try riding a bike with him walking/running to the side of me.

Only problem, I didn't have a bike. So I found a decent bike at my work (Wal-Mart) and purchased it, along with a helmet and a light attachment, since it is dark out all the time right now. I adjusted everything and rode it myself a few times to get the hang of it again. Amazingly I didn't forget how! Just like the old saying, "it's just like riding a bike", who knew!

The next step was to see how Tiki would like it. I was nervous that he would be scared of it, but he took to it, like a lab takes to water. We rode just in the cul-de-sac for a little bit first without a leash just to see how he would react. He followed me the whole time and loved it! So tonight I put on the leash and we braved the streets around the neighboorhood. He loved it and did great. He never got scared by the other things going on around us and never tried to pull me off the bike, or try to run into it! A success! Finally!

So now I can ride him around at least 2 or 3 times a week. He is too young still to do it every day. To much could damage his growth or joints. But at least now I have a way to get some good exercies for both of us!

How to bathe an Aussie

Info on 75 InspEARations

Hi Everybody!

I know that I haven't been on here for a while. I sort of got told that I needed to update more. Again, sorry to inform you that I lead a very dull life. I mean the only major things that have happened since the snow has been Christmas, Disneyland, and the Rose City Classic Dog show (the first big show of the year that is broadcast on Animal Planet). Ok, ok, I know that is actually a lot to blog about, but because it has all hit one week after another, I haven't really had time to process everything.

So instead I posted some pictures of Disneyland from January 2005. That year Disney was celebrating 75 years of Mickey with 75 Mickey statues. They were designed by all sorts of different people, some celebreties, some Disney stars, and some cast and crew. I tried to label them if I remembered the person's name. For example the one with all the glasses was done by Elton John.

So while I work on all the other stuff, ejoy the pictures below!

Snow Days 2008

Hello there to all of you adoring fans! This is Stitch of the Disney Dogs. Both my brother and sister have had the chance to write on our blog, so I figure that it is my turn now. Well it has been one heck of a week around this neck of the woods. It has been the coldest and worst weather we have had in a while. It has been snowing, raining, icing, sleeting, and freezing rain the past week. Mostly it has just been cold. As you can see, I have been trying to handle it the best that I can!! It is a tough life but somebody has to do it.
This is what the scene at Grandma and Grandpa's looks like this morning. It started snowing yesterday and it just kept coming and coming and coming. Then over night it turned it to something called freezing rain and left ice on top of the snow. All I know is that it means it is COLD!

Because Mom still has to go to work despite the bad weather, we have been staying at our grandparents house. They live really close to mom's work and that way she can get there even if the roads are bad. We have been camping out in the living room, and Grandpa and Grandma have been taking care of us when she is gone.

This morning mom woke up to her car looking like this! It was totally encased in ice! And mom says that the ice was at least 1/2 inch thick! I guess that is a lot, I don't really know what an inch is. Mom had to really pull hard to get the door open. Then she started the car and let it run for a while. Even after that she still had to take a soft rubber mallet to break the ice up and get it off the windows. Must have been a lot of work because mom was tired, and frozen!

My little sister Lilo went outside in it. She wasn't too sure what to think at first. It looks like white ground and feels like it is going to hold you, but then suddenly you break through the ice and fall 8 inches into the snow. It is really really cold outside!

This is what Lilo's footprints look like in the snow/ice ground. It is weird to crunch right through the ice and then sink belly high.

My little brother Tiki and my Uncle Trouble don't seem bothered by the snow at all. They played for a long time, chasing the frisbee and running around the yard. They even helped mom and Grandpa break all the ice off the cars. They don't even seem to notice the cold and snow at all. Oh well I guess at least one of us dogs are enjoying ourselves.

So that is our current report from the frigid NorthWest. I will continue to stay wrapped up in blanket and stay warm. I think that we will be staying here until after Christmas. Mom doesn't really want to go to work at all, but she has to at least try. So that means we are staying with our Grandparents. We are happy to be here with them, but they seem a little tired of us sitting on our laps. I don't understand why, I mean it is their job to adore me right? Anyway, here's wishing you all a safe and happy MERRY CHRISTMAS from Stitch, Lilo, and Tiki. Oh yeah, and from our Mom also!

Thanksgiving Pics

So I have been hearing from several people that I need to update my blog. I guess more people check my blog than I thought. I guess they will be saddened to know that I really don't lead a very exciting life! That would be why my posts are far between. I doubt that you would all want to hear about me getting up in the morning, playing with the dogs, going to the gym, playing with the dogs some more, going to work, coming home, playing with the dogs and then going to bed. I mean hearing about that type of stuff could be rather boring.
But I do have several pictures from Thanksgiving. The day started out the annual Turkey Bowl. It was very COLD, but we had a good time seeing several friends and families from our old family ward. I also got to hang with my Uncle Mark and family. Even Jake and Jana made it from Utah!! We had a great time in the morning.

After that we were back at Mom and Dad's for Thanksgiving Dinner. We had a good time with Aunt Karen, Uncle John, Lindsey, Dan, Katelyn, Jeff, Morgan, Doug, Angie and Madi. We had a very enjoyable dinner and a great time talking with everybody. It is a little hard to believe that we are all growing up and starting famlies of our own! It is funny to watch the next generation play. Madi was sweet with Katelyn. She would be very gentle and give her a kiss, and since she was so nice we would all say "aww, verygood, yeahh" and etc and clap at the same time. So then Madi would keep kissing Katelyn and then start clapping! It was quite funny.

Little Stitch happy at last!

So that was our Thanksgiving weekend. I did also make it to the Civil War game down in Corvallis, but we won't really go into that! It was a very sad and a long drive home. Darn it I wish would have won, but our defense seemed to have other plans. Oh well, I guess there is always next year!

Well I hope this apeases the masses! Or at least Sarah and Misty! If my life gets a little more interesting I will be sure to post it!
